Temporary Address Change from California to New York

Hi there. Thanks so much for the assistance in advance. I submitted my form with a check to the DMV, but would like the sticker to be mailed to my temporary address in NY. I drove home to visit my family for a few months, and will return to California after February. The car needs a smog check but apparently I can't get one in another state. I don't want to get penalized and have to pay more, so I am following up here to be sure you received my notice of temporary change of address. Honda 2019. Registered in the state of California! -Isabelle.

As for the temporary address change situation, you can use this link... https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/online-change-of-address-coa-system/ but quite frankly, your return date is a bit to soon for the DMV to change your address to New York, and then change it back to California once you get back. Unfortunately they don't work that fast. If it works for you, have us mail your new tags to NY, keep you address on DMV record as it exists (California), and if you need to do this again in the future, just revisit our site.
